Who are we?
We are the youth and student wing of the Liberal Democrats — we campaign on issues affecting young people and students, with branches across the UK.
Membership
Every Lib Dem who is a student or under 30 is automatically a Young Liberals member. Make sure the party has your age and/or student status when you join.
What we do
We represent young people’s interests inside and outside the Party: shaping policy, training, support and networking. We run Young and Winning, help young candidates get elected and host two conferences a year where members debate and vote on policy.
Young Liberals often lead on new ideas — same sex marriage began as a youth and student policy.
LJMU Society
The LJMU Liberal Democrats Society is the official student hub for politically engaged individuals who align with liberal values or are simply curious about liberalism in the UK.
We promote liberal values on campus, host meetings and socials, and link into the wider Young Liberals network. Follow us on social and keep an eye on our JMSU page for events.
