Bio
Tristan is a Law (LLB Hons) student at Liverpool John Moores University and President of its Liberal Democrat Society. He serves as Membership Development Officer for Liverpool Liberal Democrats and is the party’s candidate for Sefton Park Ward, where he achieved 20.5% of the vote in the 2025 by‑election — a 15.4% swing compared to 2023.
A dedicated Liberal Democrat for over three years, he has supported campaigning efforts across the country - from campaigning for Tom Morrison MP in Cheadle to contributing to a historic by‑election win in Much Woolton and Hunts Cross (First in Liverpool in 27 years). He is the founder of Your City, Your Voice, a community education campaign aimed at encouraging young people to engage in politics and public life. Alongside this, he serves as Campaigns Officer for Speak to Me, a disability voice campaign amplifying the experiences of disabled people across the UK. Drawing on his own experience of growing up in care, Tristan is particularly passionate about ensuring that marginalised voices are heard in policymaking. This lived experience informs his focus on youth homelessness, housing insecurity, and access to opportunity - issues he is working to place at the heart of the Young Liberals’ agenda.
